Why Did I Get a Charge from BOOKINGPORTAL.ORG on My Credit Card?

If you notice a charge on your bank or credit card statement labeled BOOKINGPORTAL.ORG, this page helps you identify what it relates to and how to get support.

Immediate Steps to Identify a BOOKINGPORTAL.ORG Charge

Check Your Email and Text messages:

When you request a quote or book a service using BookingPortal.org (or a website powered by our booking system), we send a confirmation by email and/or SMS.

  • Check your inbox and search for: “BOOKINGPORTAL” or “BookingPortal.org”
  • Also check Spam/Junk/Promotions/Updates folders

Your confirmation typically includes:

  • Service address
  • Service type (mowing, cleanup, cleaning, plumbing, appliance repair, etc.)
  • Date/time window (if scheduled)
  • Amount paid (or deposit/partial payment if applicable)

Common reasons you’ll see BOOKINGPORTAL.ORG

The charge is usually tied to a scheduled service or appointment booked through our system. BookingPortal.org supports bookings across multiple categories, including:

Home Services (in-person):

  • Lawn care / landscaping, snow removal
  • Residential/commercial cleaning
  • Junk removal / haul-away
  • Plumbing
  • Appliance repair
  • Other home/commercial field services

Professional Services (remote/other):

  • Legal, accounting, business services, coaching, education
  • Medical services where provided by third-party providers

If You See Multiple Charges

Deposits, installments, or staged payments

Some bookings include:

  • A deposit to confirm the job, and/or
  • Installment payments, where disclosed during checkout

If you booked a multi-pay option, the email confirmation will show the schedule and amounts.

Understanding Multi-Pay Charges

If your appointment involved a multi-pay plan, you might see initial deposits or installment payments as agreed upon during the booking process. These are part of the total charge for your booked services.

Auto-Renewal Charges

Some programs (such as certain renewal services) may offer an optional auto-renewal feature. If you opted in, the renewal charge may occur later at the disclosed interval. Check your confirmation message(s) for the program details and cancellation method.

Medical ONLY: The Convenience Renewal Program is an optional auto-renewal service for annual certification renewal appointments. If during the appointment booking you enroll in this program, your stored payment method will be automatically charged at the then-current rate on your annual (or biennial / triennial – depending on the state) renewal date unless you cancel in advance. To cancel your auto-renewal, contact Customer Support via the link in your Appointment Confirmation Email or submit a cancellation request here.

Third-Party Appointment Fulfillment and Credit Card Charges

In some cases, the service you booked is fulfilled by an independent third-party provider who uses our system for scheduling and payments. Depending on configuration, your statement may show:

  • BOOKINGPORTAL.ORG, or
  • Another provider/partner descriptor

The descriptor shown during checkout and/or in your confirmation message(s) is the best reference.

Important: It is your responsibility to review the disclaimers and payment descriptions provided at checkout. These will tell you exactly how the transaction will appear on your statement, especially in cases where the charge is not from BookingPortal.org directly.

If you are unsure about a charge, check your appointment confirmation email. It will include:

  • The provider’s name
  • A description of the service
  • The billing descriptor or statement label (if different from BOOKINGPORTAL.ORG)

If you still have questions, contact our Appointment Customer Support using the contact information in your confirmation email, and we’ll help you determine the origin of the charge or direct you to the appropriate provider.

How to Get Support (Fastest Method)

For the fastest resolution, reply directly to your confirmation email or confirmation text message. Those replies go to the support team that can locate your booking immediately.

When contacting support, include:

  • Your full name
  • Service address
  • Date/time window (if scheduled)
  • The amount charged
  • If available, the last four digits of the card (never send the full card number)

If you don’t recognize the charge:
Include the date of the charge and any details you remember. Support will help identify the booking tied to the transaction.
